Don’t miss these streamed concerts of Czech music on January 1st! But which to choose…

The New Years Concert of the Czech Philharmonic, conducted by Tomáš Netopil, will stream live on 1.1. at 8pm Central European time on ČT Art and on the orchestra’s Facebook page. The program will consist exclusively of Czech composers, from a world premiere by Jan Kučera to Antonín Dvořák’s greatest hits and everything in between. Access here.

The Prague Symphony Orchestra (FOK) will also stream its New Years concert on 1.1. at 7:30pm Central European time online only. It will perform Antonín Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances, Op. 46 and 72, under the baton of Tomáš Brauner. Access here.

The Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc will stream a New Years concert on 1.1. at 4pm Central European time. It will stream on its website (here) and subsequently be available on YouTube. Jakub Klecker will conduct an eclectic program from Dvořák to Gershwin to Ney Rosauro.

In case you missed it…

The Advent calendars of both the Czech National Theater (here) and the Brno Philharmonic (here) are still up!

On the last “musical bon bon” of the National Theater’s Advent calendar, soloists of the National Theater perform a popular Czech Christmas song.

You can still listen to the Christmas concert of the Brno Czech Philharmonic Choir which streamed on the 26th, here.

On December 20th, the National Moravian Silesian Theater in Ostrava streamed a recital with international soloist Maida Hundeling, which will be available until January 2nd, here.
